The most popular past time here is laying in the sun while reading a good book.  Of course it also has its share of island bars and restaurants.  Just head to the Siesta Key Village for a great shopping experience during the day and partying during the night.

I find that a Siesta Key home rental is the best option if your vacation is   going to  last for a month or more.  Considering all the nice Siesta Key homes, the choice is not easy.  But if you are going on a shorter vacation, check out a Siesta Key condo.


How close to the water do you want to be.  Just keep in mind, the closer you are to the water, the more it will hurt your wallet.  Then decide on how much space you need to be comfortable.  One trick is to rent a large house and split it with another family.  Just make sure your friendship can hold up to such closeness:-)
