Siesta Key is known as a relaxed little island just off the Florida coast. The main attraction has always been its beautiful beaches.  The most popular being the Siesta Public Beach.

Siesta Beach has won many awards for having the whitest, softest sand in the world.  Unlike most beaches which are made up of crushed shell, Siesta's sand is 99% pulverized quarts.  It is just firm enough to make riding a beach cruiser or jogging fun and easy.

Siesta Key Florida Hotels 

Siesta Key hotels are great for weekend getaways, or a short holiday. Most of the hotels are set up with a resort theme to the property.  Lush grounds with a gathering area are a norm, but some even have a private access to the beach.  

If you are planning a longer vacation, I would also look at a Siesta Key condo rental.  They usually come with more space and a full kitchen.  This really becomes important for vacations over a week or two.
