Yes, there are some great shops on the island.  But before I get to far, just remember, over the bridge is Sarasota, Florida.  It is known for the arts and good shopping.

For now lets stick to stores that are on the island.  My wife, an aspiring professional shopper, loves Foxy Lady.  They're a successful, high end clothing store adored by locals and tourists alike.
