Siesta Key Restaurant
"So,
which is your favorite Siesta Key restaurant?"
That
is a very
popular question from tourists and locals alike. It's also
very hard to answer with out knowing what the person is looking
for. If
it's a formal sit down dinner, then
Ophelia's the best. But if you are looking for a great
casual lunch with over 40 different daiquiri's to choose from, then
Daiquiri Deck is your Siesta Key restaurant.
It's an
open air
deck
with good food ranging from Shark Bites to Maui. Usually we stop at the
Deck on our way home after the beach. But on this day we were
heading to Turtle
Beach and in no hurry.
We
arrived at the entrance before 11:00, so we had to wait a little bit.
That's not so bad since we love to people watch. And since
the Daiquiri Deck is right smack in the middle of the Village, there's
plenty to see.
Did I mention my wife was still
pregnant at the time. So she became very hot in just a couple
of minutes. We would rather of sat on the edge of the Deck
for more people watching, but she needed to cool off.
We
sat beyond the deck, under the roof of the building, which is also open
air seating. It's nice there due to the special fans
blowing cool air. They really do the trick!
The
staff is always good about giving our little girls activity packs with
crayons and bringing out there food first. This gives me a
chance to sample some of there famous daiquiris like Purple Haze and
Diesel. (Only 38 more to go!!)
My wife and
I ordered a bunch of food and just shared. They have all the
basics like burgers and cheese fries along with wraps and grouper
sandwiches.
The food is always good and the
daiquiris great. It's a nice casual beach bar with lots of
food!! We always have fun there...
Honorable
mentionsSiesta
Key is known for its casual lunch locations. I couldn't stop
with
just one. Here is a list of other favorites!
Anna's Deli The
oldest restaurant on Siesta Key. Their big claim to fame is
the
Surfer. It's a sandwich like none other and a must do when your heading
to the beach!
