"A Siesta
Key Vacation
is perfect for recharging your batteries and
clearing your head."
You can lay in the sun
reading a best seller, or decide to go on a shopping trip in
The
Village. Personally I like to go to the
Daiquiri
Deck for
some cool refreshments. That's what's so great about
this Florida Island in the Gulf of Mexico, everyone can pick
what they want to do.

During
the day, most vacationers are going to be relaxing on one of the three
beaches.
Siesta Key Public Beach is by far the most famous.
It's the one featured on the travel channels, and the winner
of "Best Sand in the World". That can make it a little
crowded on weekends. But don't worry,
Turtle
Beach is always an option when the others fill up.
Just remember to bring a bag for all the seashells!
Or
maybe your more of a physically active vacationer. If so, You
will love riding a beach cruiser bike on
Siesta
Key Beach. That gorgeous, powdery white sand is
perfect for biking or running. Even on the hottest day, the
sparkling sand stays cool to the touch. You have to feel it
to believe it.
Snorkeling
is another big draw for Florida vacationers. And one of the
top destinations is the Point of Rocks on
Crescent
Beach. Named for its unique lime stone formations,
it's one of the busiest reefs on the west coast of Florida. (With fish
that is.) You may even get to see a great big sea turtle
checking you out!
Now You just need to decide on
your
Siesta
Key vacation rental. For vacations over a month
long, I recommend renting a house. It gives you more privacy,
and a garage. Less than a month, and a condo should do the
trick. Just make sure it has a washer/dryer. And of
course a resort or hotel will suffice for those quick weekend getaways.
And remember, all the vacation rentals
follow the golden rule. The closer you stay to the water, the
more gold it's going to cost you!
