Siesta Key Village

"After a great day at the beach, the Siesta Key Village is the place to go!"

It,s Siesta Key's version of Main Street.  You can find everything from great food to souvenir shopping during the day, and partying at night. Either way it's always a great place for people watching!

The Siesta Village is full of great restaurants.  One of my favorites is the Daiquiri Deck.  The great thing is you can get a drink at the Deck and then grab a bite to eat at the Siesta Key Oyster Bar.

When night time comes around, the party crowd all heads to the Village. The reason, simple logistics.  All the night time clubs are centrally located there.

Siesta Village

My wife and I went out to dinner with some old high school friends.  We had not seen each other in years.  After a nice dinner and a couple of drinks, we decided to go out to a club.

The natural place to go of course was the Village.  We originally intended on going to the Beach Club.  But for some reason ended up at Giligan's.

It's a cool looking club with all the beach props including half of a V.W. bus right at the bar.  The music was loud and people where dancing!  It was perfect.  Even I got out on the floor! (Not a pretty site.)

Next thing I knew it was getting very late and I knew the babysitter tab was going up by the minute.  It was time to head home!
