Siesta Key's Big Olaf Creamery

Big Olaf Creamery is not really a siesta key restaurant, but a great little ice cream shop. It's in the middle of siesta village and boasts some of the most unique flavors around. My personal favorite is the Ameretto Almond. I still can't figure out how the almonds stay crunchy while surrounded by ice cream but, they do. The portions are huge so there is no need to order the double scoop. They have fountain drinks but not much else (no coffee or other snacks. They have been serving up waffle cones with various toppings for as long as I can remember and the benches on the front porch make it the ideal location for some serious people watching.
