St. Armand’s Circle is located on
a Key just north of
Siesta key.
The Islands run parrallel to one another. It will take you about 15
minutes by car to get here.
St. Armands is filled
with upscale shops and restaurants and has a completely different feel
than
Siesta
Key Village.
St Armands
Restaurant's
Our favorite restaurant is The Columbia. They
serve Cuban food that you will never forget. Their specialty is the
1905 salad, named for the year it was created. They also make a chicken
and yellow rice that is to die for. Dinner for two including a pitcher
of sangria will cost you around $100 but is worth every penny.
If
you are hungry for seafood head over to Crab and Fin. This restaurant
is a bit more formal and it will cost you a little more so it's best
left for a special occasion. They have a piano player on the weekends
which creates a very romantic atmosphere. Both restaurants offer indoor
or outdoor dining and have excellent service.
St
Armands Circle Shopping
In the past few years some chain
store have opened shop on the circle. Chico’s, White House Black
Market, Brighton and Lilly Pulitzers all have locations here.
The
majority are still independently owned boutique style stores. Some of
the most interesting are Addison Craig (This store specializes in
designer shoes and handbags), Dream Weaver (specializes in clothing as
art ) and The Shore ( designer beach clothing such as Juicy Couture and
Diesel).
Walking the circle is best left for cooler
weather or the evening. Some of the shops close at 6 but on the
weekends many stay open till 8 so shop first and then eat.
